The Association for Opera in Canada (AOC) continues to support artists through the ROAM program, which reduces financial barriers by offering fully covered dues membership options. Since 2020, ROAM has advanced equity by enabling access to resources, networking, and sector dialogue regardless of financial means. In 2023–24, it supported 143 artists, with strong participation continuing into 2025–26.

As opera artists continue to navigate financial pressures and precarity, we are especially grateful to the Metcalf Foundation for underwriting the cost of AOC Opera Artist membership dues. Please note that 2026 is the final year that membership dues will be covered under this relief program. We encourage artists to take advantage of this opportunity while it remains available.
