Not only is [CultureBrew.Art] a forum that allows Indigenous and racialized artists to connect to each other; it is also a place where engagers from across the country can go and find Indigenous and racialized artists and practitioners…No longer can they say, where are they? Because we're right there.
– Sedina Fiati, Performer, Producer, Creator, Activist, Director and CBA Member, Toronto ON
Indigenous and racialized artists and cultural workers who work in every artistic discipline – whether the literary, media, performing, or visual arts – can become members of CultureBrew.Art (CBA) for a one-time member fee of only CDN$25!
If cost is a barrier for you, CBA is committed to being as inclusive and accessible as possible by offering bursaries through the Jean Yoon Bursary Fund, which covers the membership fee. And if you don’t have a credit card, you can request an exemption through our simple application webform.
So whether you create for the stage, in the studio, in front of or behind the camera, or with only your computer for company, CultureBrew.Art was created to foster connection and community among BIPOC artists across Canada.
It is so crucial that we have [CultureBrew.Art] to connect and collaborate as artists, and it is important that our talents and voices are represented in the most authentic way. So when we tell our stories and share our songs, it comes from the hearts of the people.
