ARTIST MEMBERSHIP FEE & BENEFITS
Indigenous and racialized artists and cultural workers who work in all aspects of performance, production, and post-production in Canada in the following cultural sectors can become members of CultureBrew.Art (CBA) for an annual membership fee of CDN$25. CBA is committed to being as inclusive as possible. If $25 is a barrier for you, please see our options to waive the annual fee. If you don’t have a credit card, you can apply for an exemption.

COMMUNITY
- ability to connect with peers, mentors, thought leaders, and other like-minded BIPOC artists
- joining a community of BIPOC artists from across Canada
- for BIPOC artists whose identities intersect with other marginalized identities such as gender, sexual orientation, Deafness, and disability, CBA offers the opportunity to connect with BIPOC artists who share your challenges and perspectives
- ability to search other BIPOC artists in CBA, and send direct messages
OPPORTUNITIES
- being searched and found by Engagers who are specifically seeking BIPOC artists
- ability to promote yourself and be found for other marketable skills, such as teaching, coaching, cultural consulting, translation, diversity/decolonization consulting, etc.

PROMOTION
- ability to set up an artist profile that reflects the uniqueness and multiplicity of your identity, skill set, artistic discipline(s), and experience
- ability to include portfolio images, audio clips, and video clips in your profile
- being promoted to a cross section of arts and culture Engagers (employers) encompassing music, theatre, dance, opera, film/TV production, new media, gaming, audio books, animation, cultural festivals, and more!
- being promoted to a cross-section of Engagers beyond arts and culture, including education, government, community and social services, advertising, and media
- opportunity to promote yourself on CultureBrew.Art’s website
ACCESSIBILITY
- for BIPOC artists with differing abilities, CBA conforms with accessibility standards of WCAG 2.0 to a minimum of Level AA (sometimes AAA)
- welcoming to Deaf BIPOC artists
CONNECTION
- internal secure messaging system allows member artists to connect with each other, and for Engagers (employers) to contact you directly
- find BIPOC mentors, coaches, and artistic collaborators
PRIVACY & SECURITY
- only paid subscribers – not the general public – are given access to your profile
- all data encrypted in transit and at rest
- all data securely hosted on servers located in Canada with 100%-Canadian-owned CanTrust Hosting Co-operative
- two-factor authentication (2FA) reduces risk of hacking
- as per our Privacy Policy, your personal information will never be rented, traded, or sold to any third party
- all Members and Engagers must agree to and abide by our Code of Conduct and Terms of Service
- Visceral Visions, the non-profit society that created CBA, received special approval from the BC Human Rights Tribunal for an exemption to the BC Human Rights Code that allows us to restrict membership in CultureBrew.Art to only self-identified Indigenous and racialized artists
