The Brantford Symphony Orchestra is seeking a new Artistic Director to assume the helm in 2027-2028. The orchestra is fully professional, and performances consist of 30-50 musicians, depending on repertoire and guest artist considerations. Rehearsals take place on the same day as the concert (one 3-hour rehearsal per concert). There are normally three concerts during a regular season, with a tentative fourth concert being planned, as well as smaller community events. We are inviting applicants to submit an expression of interest, indicating which concert they are available to conduct in 2026-2027. Each applicant will conduct one common piece and be invited to take the lead in the artistic direction for the concert of their choice.
