Intersections 1: Financial Literacy

Intersections sessions are special electives within the Foundations of Arts Leadership program — and as part of the Rozsa Foundation’s commitment to supporting Alberta’s arts leaders, these sessions are also OPEN TO ALL arts professionals!
These four-hour, in-person learning opportunities bring together arts leaders at all stages of their careers to exchange ideas, collaborate on problem-solving, and strengthen leadership across Alberta’s arts sector.
First up: Intersections 1 – Financial Literacy
Led by Dr. Peggy Hedges from the Haskayne School of Business, this session will cover the essentials of financial reporting, cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting ,core areas that often challenge nonprofit arts organizations.
You’ll learn how to:
- Identify key elements of financial reporting and budgeting
-Calculate and interpret key financial ratios
-Perform a basic break-even analysis to inform strategic decisions
