Rehearsals & Performance will take place in Ladner, BC.
Delta Stageworks and Camryn Chew are currently looking for 1 non-equity actor for a monologue written by Camryn Chew as part of an upcoming site-specific tour of Kirkland House in Ladner, BC. This "Tea & Tour" is presented by the Delta Heritage Society in partnership with Delta Stageworks.
Role specifics:
•identifies as Chinese or mixed-Chinese
•to play an age range of 20-26
•masculine-presenting
Pay:
•$25/hour for approximately 12.5 rehearsal hours
•Flat rate of $137 for the performance day (approximately 5 hour call)
Approximate Rehearsal Schedule:
August 31 from 3pm-4pm & 4:30pm-5:30pm
September 7 from 10am-3pm
September 14 from 1pm-5pm
September 19 from 5:30pm-7:30pm
September 20 from 9am-2pm
Rehearsals and performance will take place in Ladner, BC.
About the monologue:
Along with the other four monologues being featured as part of this tour, the monologue that Camryn is writing will aim to explore what life was like in Ladner about 100 years ago. Her writing is still in the development stage, but will be drawing upon her research into Ladner's history as well as her own family's history and story with the Chinese Head Tax, which her Great-Grandfather paid in 1921.
