The Grand Theatre is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2025-26 Props & Scenic Art Apprentice. The apprenticeship will be an introduction to the workings of a professional props shop, and scene shop in a large regional theatre.



Under the supervision of the Head of Props and Head Scenic Artist, the Apprenticeship will be a season-long mentorship while working to support all Spriet Stage productions. The apprenticeship will be tailored to the successful applicant’s needs and focus as much as possible on providing opportunities for skills development in their areas of greatest interest. This is very much a ‘learn-by-doing' position, while being fully supported by highly skilled artist mentors. The Apprentice may be given the opportunity to supervise small projects on occasion.
