Kimberly Levaco is bright and witty teenager with an aging disorder that makes her appear decades older than she is. As she navigates the typical struggles of high school—crushes, friendships, and family drama—Kimberly also grapples with the reality that her time may be shorter than most. Her dysfunctional but well-meaning family, only add to the chaos. When her mischievous Aunt Deb ropes her into a questionable money-making scheme, Kimberly must decide how to make the most of the time she has.

At this time, we are accepting national applications for the role of Kimberly. For the other characters in the play, we are only able to consider submissions from Vancouver-based actors.
CURRENTLY CASTING FOR:
The pronouns and ages listed are descriptions of the characters. Actors are welcome to express interest in being seen for any role, regardless of gender or age.
The role of SETH, DEBRA, and BUDDY have been cast.
KIMBERLY – 60s – 70s. She/her. Any Ethnicity. A 16-year-old high school student with a rare genetic disease that makes her appear in her 60s–70s. She struggles to find happiness in a chaotic family where nobody understands her, she is an optimist despite her circumstances. Strong contemporary musical theatre/pop singer. Ice skating ability is a plus. Vocal range: A3 to G5
PATTIE – 30s – 40s. She/her. Any Ethnicity. A hypochondriac mother. She had Kimberly at a young age and is pregnant with her second child. Strong contemporary musical theatre/pop singer. Ice skating ability is a plus.
Vocal range: E3 to F5
AARON – Teens. He/him. Any Ethnicity. A high school sophomore. A bit clumsy but nice, has a crush on Delia. Strong contemporary musical theatre/pop singer who can hold harmonies. Ice skating ability is a plus.
Vocal range: Bb2- Ab4, and strong falsetto/mix through D5
DELIA – Teens. She/her. Any Ethnicity. A high school sophomore. The school choir leader and motivator, has a crush on Teresa. Strong contemporary musical theatre/pop singer who can hold harmonies. Ice skating ability is a plus.
Vocal range: G3 - G5
MARTIN – Teens. He/him. Any Ethnicity. A high school sophomore. A good dancer and Dreamgirls lover, in the closet still but has a crush on Aaron. Strong contemporary musical theatre/pop singer who can hold harmonies. Ice skating ability is a plus.
Vocal range: Bb2 - Bb4, and strong falsetto/mix through D5
TERESA – Teens. She/her. Any Ethnicity. High school student. Super nice and has a crush on Martin. Strong contemporary musical theatre/pop singer who can hold harmonies. Ice skating ability is a plus.
Vocal range: G3 -A5
An Intimacy Director will be engaged to choreograph moments of intimacy onstage.
Please be advised that the production design may require Artists to modify their hairstyles (any costs incurred for such changes will be reimbursed by the Theatre) or cover visible tattoos (at the Artist’s expense).
ACCESS AND INCLUSION:
Access and inclusion are incredibly important to us. In our audition and rehearsal spaces, our studios are situated on the first floor, ensuring convenient accessibility without needing to use stairs. Ample seating options are provided for Artists to use while waiting or taking breaks, along with two fully private washrooms within the premises. Clear signage will be prominently displayed throughout the space to offer guidance. Each studio is equipped with loading-sized doors, facilitating unimpeded entry for wheelchair users. Performances will take place at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, while we aspire for inclusivity and accessibility for all artists, regrettably, the current infrastructure does not accommodate wheelchair users.
