Limited-Term Appointment: Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Costume and Set Design (100% appointment – July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023)
Established in 1818, Dalhousie is a leading research-intensive university offering more than 180 degree programs in 11 faculties. Fountain School of Performing Arts is the only university-level performing arts school east of Montreal, facilitating a range of new opportunities to students of Music, Theatre and Film Studies.
The Fountain School of Performing Arts (FSPA) at Dalhousie University invites applications for a twelve-month limited-term appointment at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2022. Position is subject to budgetary approval.
The successful candidate will be responsible for set and costume design(s) for FSPA stage productions and teach related courses in the Costume Studies Program and the Technical Theatre Program.
Qualifications expected are MA, MFA or equivalent degree and substantial professional theatre experience with a particular emphasis on Costume and Set Design. Teaching experience at a post-secondary level is required as well as evidence of effective teaching ability (formal course evaluations).
