Black Creatives for interviews about experiences in Canada's Film & TV Industry

We have recently received a government grant to help expand and combine our Combatting Anti-Black Racism programming and our Black Film Festival programming (thegetrealmovement.com/impact) by producing a series of educational resources for schools and workplaces focused on combatting anti-Black racism in Canada's film and television industries, and providing supports, resources, and mentorship for up-and-coming young Black filmmakers.
We are looking for Black creatives in Canada's Film & TV industry for a series of paid, virtual interviews!
The details:
A roughly 1-hour recorded interview, over zoom, answering questions on the following themes:
· Speaking to your own career, education, inspiration in film
· Experiences of racial barriers, bias, etc. that you have experienced/witnessed in the film industry
· Examples of allyship and support that you have experienced/witnessed in the film industry
· Recommendations for white filmmakers / professionals in the industry who want to be better allies and better support Black and racialized folks in the industry
· Any words of advice to young, up-and-coming Black filmmakers
Honorarium:
· $400.00 CAD, payable upon receipt of invoice following the interview!
