COSTUME DESIGNER - starting as early as Mar 30, 2026
Contract/ F/T at $950-1250/ week for up to 3 weeks
Seeking a proficient costume designer who can design and build, or source, costumes for 1 solo performer. The ideal candidate holds an understanding of historical enactment/interpretation and dressing, and is skilled at researching fashions from specific time periods and locations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in dressing performers of varying gender identities, body types, skin tones, and accessibility needs. Collaborating with Director, and Co-Creator Adonis C. King, as well as other members of the design and creative team, the completed design work will enhance the touring production and contribute to/maintain the integrity of the world being co-built with other designers. The Costume Designer is required to provide their own gear and tools required to build costumes. Having one’s own workshop space is an asset. A supply and transportation budget will be provided.

- Interest in history, historical interpretation, Black History, and Mifflin Gibbs life, is considered an asset
