Program Staff (Committee Member)

MAC (Media Arts Committee) is looking for an additional committee member to support the administrative work of the project. MAC is a sound art production program that has been operating since 1974. Currently, we have 4 more years of funding which offers a stable position that looks like weekly meetings through online platforms to support an annual program of curating local sound artists to create paid original works of sound art.

Job Description

• attend weekly committee meetings (approx 30-60 minutes)
• curate the annual call for artists including choosing themes for upcoming artist calls
• reviewing artist applications and curating/selecting artists for the call
• social media and external communications as needed
• artist support as needed
• emails and communications amongst the committee
• some arts administration, including managing the project budget as part of the committee's work
• supporting the writing of annual reports to funders as part of the committee's work
• contributing in other ways that you're excited about!

The position is approximately 10 hours of work a month compensated at $25/hour for the commitment. This is a long-term position of up to 4 years.
