Classical and jazz pianist Michael Arnowitt is a Toronto-based full-time professional performer of 35 years experience. Originally from Vermont in the United States, during his career he has had seven international performance tours in Europe and one in Korea, and has organized many innovative creative special projects and fundraisers for humanitarian causes. Currently we have a position open to work part-time as a representative doing outreach to organizations in Canada and beyond that hire professional musicians for performances and other music-related jobs. Helping to find more performance work for Michael Arnowitt is the central focus of the position but there are also some other miscellaneous activities the representative may be asked to do such as media outreach, research, and networking. The representative would be expected to do extensive marketing outreach, by written communications and telephone calls, to concert presenters in classical and jazz music, live music venues, universities, and a wide variety of other organizations in the arts and culture field.



Pay is $30 per hour for 12-20 hours per week to be discussed. Work may be done remotely from a home office, but must be conducted during normal weekday business hours. Strong preference will be given to applicants who are seeking ongoing long-term employment, as success in the performing arts is greatly helped by the continuity of having the representative work for at least one year so they can gradually develop and nurture relationships with important decision-makers in the classical and jazz music fields. Start date flexible, could be in September after Labour Day or delayed by mutual agreement.
