PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical, featuring new characters, a hilarious libretto, surprising twists, and an unforgettable score from Rodgers & Hammerstein. In this contemporary take on the classic tale, Cinderella opens Prince Topher’s eyes to the injustice in the kingdom. The prince’s parents have died, leaving the kingdom in the hands of a villainous minister who has been the prince’s mentor, and has duped his young charge into approving oppressive legislation. The rebel Jean-Michel, a new character, and stepsister Gabrielle are in love and seek to change society for the better.

AUDITION NOTES:

Auditions: Sunday May 14th, Thursday 18th & Friday May 19th

Applicants invited to audition will be asked to prepare a monologue of their choice (under 2 minutes) and a song in the style of the show – classical musical theatre (under 3 minutes, Rodgers & Hammerstein and their contemporaries, no pop).

An accompanist will be provided.

Dance call required for all roles.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:

All artists attending auditions must be fully vaccinated. Physical distancing will be maintained throughout the audition. All present will be expected to wear masks except while auditioning.

All artists contracted for this production must be fully vaccinated.
