Searching for: 50yr old female Japanese non-union actor for short film entitled '12 Angry Lesbians'. Actor should be Canadian born or able to perform with a Canadian accent. The film is a riff on '12 Angry Men' and 'His Girl Friday'--a comedy that will be shot in black and white. The character is LGBTQ in the film but the actor need not be. The actor needs to have an athletic physicality but not overtly so necessarily. Most importantly, the actor has to be Japanese as this is a pivotal story point and a pivotal role. All other characters have been cast but this character is proving difficult to find especially in the non-union world. Would love to go to camera May 31-Jun2 but need desperately to cast this part before shoot dates can be confirmed. I am self-funding this project to send to film festivals and to use as a calling card to show my filmmaking abilities.
