Description
Forty years ago, Canadian writer Sharon Butala introduced the idea of Wallace Stegner's childhood home becoming a place of inspiration for artists and writers. Since then, hundreds of artist have completed residencies in the house, built by Stegner's father, on the banks of the Frenchman River. A beautiful, wild and remote place, Eastend Saskatchewan belongs to the last of the Grasslands, one of the planet's more endangered and least protected ecosystems.
