Ballet Instructor

Applications are now being accepted for CONTRACT BALLET INSTRUCTORS
for Arts Programs at the Richmond Cultural Centre:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate Ballet lessons that are creative,
flexible, accessible and adaptable
Provide a safe, positive and well-managed learning environment
Instruct lessons for all ages and abilities
Communicate with parents, participants and staff in an effective and respectful manner
Prepare students for seasonal dance performances
Maintain the safety of the participants in the classes
Ensure attendance procedures are followed
Ensure appropriate set-up, take down and maintenance of program space
Contribute to and uphold the Richmond Cultural Centre’s reputation for consistent high-quality arts
education
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Post secondary degree or diploma in dance and/or an equivalent combination of education and a
minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an arts setting
Proven ability to develop lessons plans
Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
HOURS OF WORK AND REMUNERATION
Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning September 2026
Opportunities for additional hours
2026/27 Artist Instructor rates $35-40 per hour based on qualifications
