Description
The City of Calgary Public Art Program invites members of the Tsuut’ina First Nation to apply for a paid mentorship opportunity. Individual artists interested in curation are encouraged to apply—no prior curatorial experience is required. The mentee will work closely with the Indigenous curator, public art conservator, public art liaison, and collections specialist to curate a Tsuut’ina-specific, loanable exhibit for communities and schools. The mentorship includes guidance and support in all aspects of public art exhibition work, such as budgeting, artist visits, design, and curatorial writing. The curator’s own artwork will not be eligible for the exhibit.
