In the kingdom of Arendelle, Princess Anna embarks on a daring journey to save her sister, Queen Elsa, whose hidden ice powers have unintentionally trapped their home in an eternal winter. Along the way, Anna teams up with rugged ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and the lovable snowman Olaf to bring Elsa back and restore warmth to their world.

CURRENTLY CASTING FOR:
The pronouns and ages listed are descriptions of the characters. Actors are welcome to express interest in being seen for any role, regardless of gender or age.
The roles of ELSA and ANNA have been cast.
Auditions for the roles of Young Elsa and Young Anna will take place in Summer 2025.
KRISTOFF – 20s - 35. He/Him. Any Ethnicity. A human orphan raised by Hidden Folk in the forest, Kristoff is a self-reliant ice-seller & Mountain Man whose best friend is a reindeer, for whom he provides a voice so they can have conversations.
Vocal range: G2 to A3
HANS –25 - 35. He/him. Any Ethnicity. The youngest of thirteen brothers, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is a real charmer. Anna falls for his open wittiness on the spot – he gets her.
Vocal range: G2 to A4
OLAF/ENSEMBLE – 20s-40s. Any Ethnicity. A big-voiced snowman created by Elsa’s magic, Olaf is pure innocence, completely content to be anywhere, doing anything.
Vocal range: F#2 to D4
*Olaf will be a large puppet and require puppeteering. Puppetry is an asset!
SVEN/ENSEMBLE – 20s-40s. Any Ethnicity. The lovable reindeer & sidekick to Kristoff. Funny, inquisitive, and intuitive. Requires strong upper body and core strength and stamina to operate a full body puppet. Puppetry is an asset!
Vocal range: A3 to A4
*Due to the physical demands of the role, Sven will be double cast. The two Artists cast will have four (4) shows as Sven per week, and four (4) shows in an Ensemble track. The two will understudy each other.
ENSEMBLE ROLES:
The show is comprised of a large Ensemble who will be cast to play citizens of Arendelle, guards, ball guests, magic folk, etc. Among the Ensemble are featured roles:

OAKEN: 25+. He/him. Any Ethnicity: An exceedingly cheerful and convivial wandering salesperson and ardent devoted to all things cozy and comfortable. He is a peppy peddler of infectious warmth with flair and good humor.
QUEEN IDUNA –40s-50s. She/her. Any Ethnicity. Caring for Queen of Arendelle and daughter of the Northern Nomads, she is compassionate and maternal.
KING AGNARR: 40s-50s. He/him. Any Ethnicity. The warm-hearted ruler of Arendelle is committed to protecting both his family and the Townspeople from his eldest daughter's powers.
PABBIE –30+. He/him. Any Ethnicity. Mystical leader of the Hidden Folk who saves Young Anna’s life. Baritone.
BULDA–30+. She/her. Any Ethnicity. Mystical leader of the Hidden Folk who has a soft spot for “strays”. Alto.
WESELTON– 30s-50s. He/him. Any Ethnicity. A chauvinistic, intolerant diplomat, the Duke of Weselton seeks any opportunity to get ahead.
Vocal range: F#2 to D4
HANDMAIDEN – 25+. She/her. Any Ethnicity. A royal servant in Arendelle’s castle. Professional, efficient, and attentive, she helps prepare Queen Elsa and Princess Anna for formal events.
BISHOP – 40+. He/him. Any Ethnicity. A warm, dignified religious figure who oversees Elsa’s coronation. Kind, wise, and ceremonial.
SWINGS: Two (2) swings will be hired to cover Ensemble and Principal tracks. One swing will be hired to cover the female Ensemble and Principal characters, and the other will be hired to cover the male Ensemble and Principal characters.
A Fight Director will be engaged to choreograph fight moments or sequences in the production. Similarly, an Intimacy Director will be engaged to choreograph moments of intimacy.
Please be advised that the production design may require Artists to modify their hairstyles (any costs incurred for such changes will be reimbursed by the Theatre) or cover visible tattoos (at the Artist’s expense).
ACCESS AND INCLUSION:
Access and inclusion are incredibly important to us. In our audition and rehearsal spaces, our studios are situated on the first floor, ensuring convenient accessibility without needing to use stairs. Ample seating options are provided for Artists to use while waiting or taking breaks, along with two fully private washrooms within the premises. Clear signage will be prominently displayed throughout the space to offer guidance. Each studio is equipped with loading-sized doors, facilitating unimpeded entry for wheelchair users. Performances will take place at the Granville Island Stage, while we aspire for inclusivity and accessibility for all artists, regrettably, the current infrastructure does not accommodate wheelchair users.
For those artists who have barriers to access to any part of our process as laid out, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we will happily work with you to allow you to show us your artistry in whatever format is easiest and accessible to you.
